The Flying Robot international Film Festival is an open competitive drone film festival focused on aerial cinema created from the perspective of flying camera robots, also commonly known as drones. Festival participation is open to anyone around the globe. Entry fees are low. Over $10,000 in cash and prizes were awarded to filmmakers of winning selections from our inaugural 2015 festival.
Submissions for the 2016 festival will open in July. Sign up for our email list to be the first know when we start accepting submissions.
A panel of esteemed judges from beyond the Internet critically assessed submitted films across seven categories in 2015: Cinematic: Narrative, Cinematic: Postcard, Drones for Good, Aerial Sports, LOL WTF, I Made That! and Student Films. A "best of show" winner will also be chosen.
Finalist and winning films were screened on November 19, 2015 at the Roxie Theater in San Francisco.

FRiFF was founded by Eddie Codel, a San Francisco based live video producer, aerial filmmaker and drone enthusiast. He resides over at Eddie.com.
The inaugural Flying Robot international Film Festival took place November 19, 2015 at the Roxie Theater in San Francisco. We received 153 submissions representing 35 countries across 7 categories. We gave away over $10,000 in cash and prizes. A huge THANK YOU to all the filmmakers who submitted, the sponsors who donated, the volunteers who toiled away to make all the events a success and of course, everyone who showed up to be a part of history.
